Vintage unsigned Esha Randel / Schreiber & Hiller DRGM Art Deco chrome, paste rhinestone and black galalith geometric machine age necklace

Wonderful vintage Art Deco necklace in silver tone with geometric design and scores of channel set clear rhinestones, as well black galalith beads between the panels. Galalith was an early casein-based plastic used in the Art Deco period. The two side pieces and all the central rhinestones are channel set using the method patented by Schreiber and Hiller in the 1930s.

This piece is unsigned as is often the case. Other stamps and signatures include 'DRGM', 'Doso', 'Esha Randell' and 'Simex' - all manufactured by the Schreiber and Hiller company. These pieces using the Schreiber and Hiller patented methods, are beautifully and intricately engineered. The snake-like links and snake chain follow the curves of the neckline and feel comfortable to wear.

The necklace has a maximum length of about 18 inches and can be shortened using the extension chain and spring ring clasp. It is in very good vintage condition.
