Vintage unsigned Esha Randel / Schreiber & Hiller Art Deco paste rhinestone and mother of pearl silver tone machine age necklace

Wonderful vintage Art Deco style Schreiber & Hiller necklace in silver tone with geometric design and scores of clear rhinestones as well as beautifully set rectangles of mother of pearl. The two side pieces have channel set rhinestones using the method patented by Schreiber and Hiller in the 1930s. The central panel is connected via lengths of silver tone snake chain to go around the neck.

Made by Schreiber and Hiller in Germany as we now know, these pieces are beautifully and intricately engineered. The snake-like links and snake chain follow the curves of the neckline and wrist and feel comfortable to wear. It uses the Schreiber & Hiller patented method of channel setting the rhinestones that is often stamped 'Esha Randel' or 'DoSo' but is here unsigned. One of their patents is shown as the last photo in the listing.

The necklace has a length of about 17 inches fastens with a secure spring ring clasp. It is in very good vintage condition - please examine photos carefully as this is an old piece and will have minor signs of having been worn, for example the chrome on the reverse of the silver tone.
