Vintage Marcel Boucher Le Couturier #3260 ruby red & clear rhinestone leaf lariat necklace, silver tone, unusual front popper fastening, signed LeC

Stunning vintage necklace by Marcel Boucher under the LeC (Le Couturier) collection brand. It is a clear and pinky ruby red rhinestone double leaf design lariat necklace. It is encrusted with crystal rhinestones and the two detailed leaves are reminiscent of an emperor's laurel wreath.

The stamps are on the reverse of one of the leaf panels - one is the four-digit number 3260 showing the design number. Then there is a second stamp which is LEC, with the E in the middle a smaller font so it reads more as the beginning of the French phrase Le Couturier, which is apparently what it is short for. I have read that Le Couturier is the mark for a high end line of Canadian-made Marcel Boucher jewellery.

The necklace has a length of about 16 inches, and fastens with a popper clasp where the two leaf sections overlap. It is a highly collectable and gorgeous piece in very good vintage condition. All rhinestones are present and the silver tone is not worn and still very shiny.
