Vintage sterling silver and light blue moulded glass large oval stone riviere necklace bezel set, open backed, cockerel motif

Vintage sterling silver and moulded glass riviere necklace - Art Deco or possibly earlier (Edwardian or 1920s). These riviere necklaces can be layered in the style of Vogue editor Anna Wintour, or just worn singly for a chic classic look. This is a particularly beautiful example - possibly French because of the gorgeous glass work and the cockerel motif.

The necklace fastens with a secure spring ring clasp and has a length of about 18 inches. The spring ring clasp is stamped 'sterling' and the rest of the necklace metal tests positive for sterling silver. The necklace is in very good vintage condition.
