Vintage stamped sterling silver heavy Cleopatra collar necklace, beautiful engine turning, weighs 34 grams, may have light gilding

Fabulous antique / vintage sterling silver collar necklace with gorgeous geometric Cleopatra type design. It has been tested for sterling silver and is also stamped sterling on the spring ring clasp and is hallmarked on the opposing jump ring. It may have been lightly gilded because there is a warm golden glow in some lights, but if so there is not much of this left.

This is a heavy piece with a weight of 34 grams, that feels so comfortable laying around the neck. The panels are beautifully engine turned with the two halves of each engraved with a striped texture, one half at right-angles to the other.

The necklace has a minimum length of about 17 inches and fastens with a sterling silver spring ring clasp and 2-inch length of extension chain. So it can be worn at any length between 17 and 19 inches. It is in very good vintage condition.
