Vintage Sphinx smoky topaz glass riviere necklace and bracelet set, heavy, bezel set, open-backed stones in ornate settings

Fabulous vintage smoky topaz crystal riviere necklace and bracelet set in a gorgeous rich chestnut brown / dark orange smoky topaz colour. A style used by the Sphinx jewellery company in the UK, unsigned here but clearly a Sphinx set.

This set has the transparent coloured stones as opposed to the banded agate style of glass. These transparent ones catch the light beautifully and can be layered in the style of Anna Wintour. These are heavy set pieces with many large faceted glass stones, claw set in open backed gold tone settings which allow the light to shine through.

The necklace length is adjustable using the spring ring clasp and 2.5 inch extension chain - the maximum is around 17 inches. The bracelet has a slim fitting length of 7 inches and fastens with a secure fold-over hinged clasp. This set is in very good vintage condition - the bracelet is actually in as-new condition and looks unworn.
