Vintage Sphinx amethyst purple glass riviere necklace & removable brooch / pendant, bezel set, open-backed rhinestones in ornate silver tone settings

Fabulous vintage amethyst purple crystal riviere necklace with matching brooch (convertible into a pendant and removable with a hook clasp) in a gorgeous rich purple colour, set in shiny silver tone. This is a style used by the Sphinx jewellery company in the UK, unsigned as usual but clearly a Sphinx piece. This necklace has the transparent coloured stones and they are particularly large crystals in this piece. These transparent ones catch the light beautifully and can be layered in the style of Anna Wintour.

The necklace and brooch are heavy set pieces with large faceted glass stones, claw set in open backed silver tone settings, with pretty textures on the reverse. There is a removable custom-made central loop with hook clasp and ring to go over the brooch pin if needed. This has been provided for the buyer to add the brooch as a pendant piece depending on their outfit or mood! Please see the photos of the brooch in place as a lariat pendant.

The necklace length is adjustable using the simple hook clasp and extra extension chain - maximum about 18 inches, minimum a choker length of about 14 inches.
