Vintage signed Trifari pink and green rhinestone brooch and clip on earrings set, early 1960s, probably the 'Contessa' collection

Beautiful vintage signed Trifari brooch and earrings set of the "Contessa" collection (although some believe this is part of the "Radiance" collection) featured in a 1961 "Memo to a Smart Woman" advertisement. The advertisement read "Circle your choice and slip this page into his pocket". Each piece is stamped with the Trifari logo on their reverse sides, with a little crown above each capital T for 'Crown Trifari'.

The brooch and earrings are set in gold tone with pave set marquise cut green and chaton cut shocking pink rhinestones in floral swirling arrangements. Julia C Carroll in her book "Collecting Costume Jewelry 202" 2nd edition when she states "this is some of the most beautiful jewelry Trifari produced in the 1960's."

As always with Trifari, the quality of the construction and materials is excellent. The earrings fasten with secure clips and the large brooch has a good roll-over clasp and pin. The brooch has a diameter of about 2 inches and the earrings are about 1 inch by 3/4 inch. This set is in excellent vintage condition and has been extremely well looked-after.
