Vintage signed Sphinx citrine yellow / topaz orange glass riviere necklace, triangle shaped crystals set open-backed in gold tone settings

Gorgeous vintage glass rhinestone riviere necklace claw set in gold tone with large open back citrine yellow/orange faceted glass rhinestones emulating gemstones. A lovely example of this range of riviere necklaces, which the Sphinx company produced in many colours - however these crystal shapes and the signed panels are harder to find.

Sphinx were a highly respected UK brand who manufactured jewellery for Kenneth Jay Lane, Saks, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus and other high end stores. Thus, many of their pieces were not signed, but this one is, on the reverse of each crystal-set panel.

The necklace is in very good vintage condition, fastening with secure old style hook and 3-inch extension chain, meaning the length is adjustable between about 16 and 19 inches.
