Vintage signed DoSo ( Esha Randel / Schreiber & Hiller ) Art Deco paste rhinestone and mother of pearl gilt geometric machine age necklace

Wonderful vintage Art Deco DoSo necklace in silver tone with geometric design and scores of clear rhinestones ina chevron pattern, as well as two beautifully set triangles of mother of pearl. The two side pieces and all the central rhinestones are channel set using the method patented by Schreiber and Hiller in the 1930s.

I think most believe that the 'DoSo' signature, often accompanied by 'Germany' is another brand name used by the makers Schreiber and Hiller. Made by Schreiber and Hiller in Germany as we now believe, these pieces are beautifully and intricately engineered. The snake-like links and snake chain follow the curves of the neckline and feel comfortable to wear.

The necklace has a maximum length of 16 inches and can be shortened using the extension chain and spring ring clasp. The tiny signature is present on the reverse of the necklace twice, once on each side. The necklace is in good vintage condition - the gilding / gold tone has some rubbing on the snake chain, and there are small spots of aged texture on the reverse of the necklace - visible in the close-up picture of one of the signatures.
