Vintage signed Attwood and Sawyer (A&S) rhinestone and enamel panda brooch, 22ct gold-plated

Vintage signed Attwood and Sawyer black enamel and clear rhinestone encrusted 22 carat gold plated panda brooch. This adorable piece is a well known example from these top quality makers. It is signed A&S on the reverse.

It is about 1 1/4 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide. It fastens with a secure and fully functioning roll-over clasp and pin. The vintage condition is very good over the whole body of the brooch, but the pin has some wear. Please see the close-up pictures of the pin - it works perfectly but the gold plating seems a little worn and slightly rough.

Founded in England in 1956 by Horace Attwood (Sawyer was a silent partner), Attwood & Sawyer produced copies of 18th- and 19th-century precious jewellery, many pieces for the Dallas and Dynasty TV series, and glittering diamante compositions for the Miss World competitions.
