Vintage signed Attwood and Sawyer (A&S) 22ct gold plated with clear and red rhinestone adorable wren bird brooch

Adorable vintage gold tone Attwood and Sawyer (A & S) small bird brooch. Lovely detailed bird design with pretty clear rhinestones on the head, wing and tail and a red rhinestone eye. It is signed A&S on the reverse.

Founded in England in 1956 by Horace Attwood (Sawyer was a silent partner), Attwood & Sawyer produced copies of 18th- and 19th-century precious jewellery, many pieces for the Dallas and Dynasty TV series, and glittering diamante compositions for the Miss World competitions. The quality of their pieces is always outstanding, with thick, smooth 22ct gold plating and quality design. This bird design I rarely see. The brooch is in very good vintage condition with only minor signs of age. The pin fastens with a secure rollover clasp.
