Vintage signed Attwood and Sawyer ( A&S ) gold plated with clear rhinestones, green and blue enamel and glass pearl, fly bee insect brooch

Adorable vintage gold plated signed Attwood and Sawyer (A & S) fly / bee / insect brooch. Lovely detailed insect design with pretty clear rhinestones on the head, fabulous green and blue enamel on the wings and a heavy teardrop faux pearl making up the body / abdomen. It is signed A&S on the reverse.

Founded in England in 1956 by Horace Attwood (Sawyer was a silent partner), Attwood & Sawyer produced copies of 18th- and 19th-century precious jewellery, many pieces for the Dallas and Dynasty TV series, and glittering diamante compositions for the Miss World competitions. The quality of their pieces is always outstanding, with thick, smooth gold plating and quality design. The brooch is about 1.5 by 1.25 inches and the pin fastens with a secure rollover clasp. It is in very good vintage condition.
