Vintage signed Attwood and Sawyer (A&S) 22ct gold plated squirrel brooch with clear and red rhinestone, unusual larger sized design

Adorable vintage gold tone Attwood and Sawyer (A&S) large squirrel brooch. Lovely detailed squirrel design with pretty clear rhinestones on the ears, belly and tail and a red rhinestone eye. It is signed A&S on the reverse.

Founded in England in 1956 by Horace Attwood (Sawyer was a silent partner), Attwood & Sawyer produced copies of 18th- and 19th-century precious jewellery, many pieces for the Dallas and Dynasty TV series, and glittering diamante compositions for the Miss World competitions.

The quality of their pieces is always outstanding, with thick, smooth 22ct gold plating and quality design. This larger squirrel design I have never seen before.

The brooch is in very good vintage condition. The pin fastens with a secure rollover clasp.
