Vintage signed Attwood and Sawyer A&S 22ct gold plated, blue and green enamel and rhinestone bird brooch

Fabulous vintage 22ct gold plated Attwood and Sawyer (A&S) bird brooch. Lovely detailed bird design, decorated with rich green / blue enamel, clear paste stones and a green rhinestone eye. It is signed / stamped A&S on its reverse and the pin fastens with a secure rollover clasp.. This is a design from this company that to me looks like a hummingbird but I've seen it listed as a kingfisher!

Founded in England in 1956 by Horace Attwood (Sawyer was a silent partner), Attwood & Sawyer produced copies of 18th- and 19th-century precious jewellery, many pieces for the Dallas and Dynasty TV series, and glittering diamante compositions for the Miss World competitions.

The brooch is about 1 3/4 inches long and 1 3/4 inches wide. It is in very good vintage condition on the front side.
