Vintage signed Attwood and Sawyer A&S 22ct gold plated and rhinestone elephant brooch, so adorable

Fabulous vintage 22 carat gold plated Attwood and Sawyer (A&S) petite elephant brooch. Lovely detailed elephant design, decorated with clear paste stones and a red rhinestone eye. It is signed / stamped A&S on its reverse and is a petite 1 inch by 1 1/4 inches. This is a harder-to-find design from this company.

Founded in England in 1956 by Horace Attwood (Sawyer was a silent partner), Attwood & Sawyer produced copies of 18th- and 19th-century precious jewellery, many pieces for the Dallas and Dynasty TV series, and glittering diamante compositions for the Miss World competitions.

It is in very good vintage condition and the pin fastens with a secure roll-over clasp.
