Vintage Schreiber and Hiller signed Esha Randel Art Deco clear rhinestone, carved mother of pearl (MOP) and gold tone choker necklace

Fantastic vintage Art Deco choker necklace set in yellow gold tone with characteristic three-dimensional panels set with channel set clear rhinestones, alternating with carved mother of pearl. This style of channel setting of rhinestones was used by Schreiber and Hiller as well as other patented channel setting techniques. See the final picture for their 1934 patent application for some of these. One of their brand names was Esha Randel - and this is the signature on this choker, as pictured.

The necklace has a really slim fitting choker length of just under 15 inches and fastens with a secure, hidden push-in box clasp and safety catch for extra security. It really does sit snugly around the neck as a choker, so please check your neck measurement requirements carefully before ordering as mistakes cannot always be rectified later. You can see from the picture on my neck that it was very tight.

Made by Schreiber and Hiller in Germany, these pieces are beautifully and intricately engineered. The snake-like links follow the curves of the wrist and feel comfortable to wear. This piece is not signed which is often the case - other signatures or stamps include DRGM, Esha Randel, DoSo or Simex.

The necklace is in good vintage condition - good gold tone surfaces with only minor wear commensurate with age, and sparkly, bright rhinestones all in place.

Please examine all photos carefully for a full condition report - with vintage pieces of this sort of age, there will sometimes be slight yellowing or greying of stones and small dinks, dents or spots of unevenness.
