Vintage real cultured pearl necklace, graduated in size, hand-knotted, pretty engraved sterling silver clasp, mid-length

Beautiful string of real cultured pearls, fastening with a pretty sterling silver box clasp with a beautiful antique texture Each bead is individually hand-knotted and the quality is excellent. The beads are graduated in size from smaller pearl sizes up to pearls with a diameter of about 5mm, with the largest pearl in the centre at the front.

These pearls are old and I believe were cultured in sea water - they are not the freshwater pearls that are available quite cheaply from China and other Asian countries. The necklace has a length of about 21 inches and fastens with an engraved sterling silver push-in box that is stamped 925 for sterling silver on the reverse. Overall, it weighs 17 grams.

The necklace is in very good vintage condition. This is a classic, staple piece that would be a wonderful gift for anyone and will be delivered in the black velvet presentation box shown in the pictures.
