Vintage Neiger Brothers (Max and Norbert) large flower brooch - pastel coloured satin glass cabochons & gold tone, a ring of flowers

Fabulous vintage Art Deco antique gold tone and pastel coloured satin glass cabochon floral ring brooch. This is such a delicate and detailed piece with pretty multi coloured glass cabochons as the centres of detailed flowers, with pale pink, blue and a very pale minty green satin glass.

This piece is certainly a Czech piece, produced in the 1920s or 1930s, in the Gablonz region. The construction and design are classic for pieces by the Neiger brothers, so I believe it is a Neiger piece. It is in very good vintage condition - the pin is quite short relative to the distance to the C clasp, but it does just reach!

A plea: Please don’t message me aggressively outlining the ways in which your opinions on Neiger pieces differ from mine or those of other varied “experts”. Ideally, don’t message me at all unless you’d like more information on the item or to exchange ideas in a pleasant fashion. The fact is that the Neiger brothers were cruelly murdered by the Nazis like so many other innocent people. All records have been lost and ‘research’ into the history is incredibly sparse and lacking in evidence, so all opinions on what was and wasn’t produced by them are just that - opinions. And as we know - everybody’s got them!
