Vintage Louis Rousselet uranium glass Art Deco necklace on foxtail chain - cats' eye UV sensitive and transparent orange beads

Fantastic Louis Rousselet Art Deco glass chunky beaded necklace. These are unusual Rousselet beads including stunning orange cats' eye effect beads, graduated in size that are uranium glass so glow in an unexpected neon yellow under UV / black light. The largest bead in the centre at the front is a slightly different marbled brown uranium glass bead. The transparent orange beads that separate the others are not reactive to UV light.

The beads have been cleverly strung on a brass foxtail chain, as is characteristic of Rousselet necklaces in this style. There is some space to enable the wearer to run a cloth in between beads to keep them clean.

The necklace has a length of about 16 inches and is in very good vintage condition. It fastens with a characteristic, ornate Rousselet screw barrel clasp.
