Vintage Kenneth Jay Lane KJL classic 1960s signed mogul style cabochon & rhinestone encrusted hinged bangle, lapis lazuli blue glass stones

This fabulous vintage rhinestone and glass cabochon encrusted bangle by Kenneth Jay Lane is absolutely stunning. It is heavy and oozes quality with a lovely Etruscan design. It has large royal blue coloured lapis lazuli glass cabochons, claw / prong set around the band, each surrounded by tiny clear rhinestones. The rest of the bangle is set with lots of fabulous lapis lazuli blue round cabochons, again with clear rhinestones scattered all around.

It is hinged to pull open and then has a tube lock clasp that clicks together again and is secure. It is signed on an oval plaque on the inside - K.J.L. I am guessing at the 1960s or 1970s based on the design and the form taken by the signature. This design appears with lots of different coloured stones and has been produced at later stages as well, with different KJL signatures for later pieces I believe.

It is in good vintage condition - it has been well loved so there are a few signs of wear. There are a few claws missing from the settings of the large oval stones, but they are still secure. The gold plating is a little worn in places and some of the tiny clear rhinestones look a little uneven, but this is only clear when looking under magnification. All cabochons and rhinestones are present.
