Vintage gold tone bookchain style chain link fringe necklace, Miriam Haskell style

Vintage Art Deco gold tone bookchain fringe necklace. The construction and detail is superb - the workmanship and style make me think of Miriam Haskell pieces, but I don't have any provenance for this one, so I am still researching.

The necklace has an adjustable length between about 16 and 18 inches, using the hook clasp and 2-inch extension chain. It is in very good vintage condition. The chain tassels have slightly different lengths in places but this may have been part of the original design for a bohemian look!
