Vintage Exquisite vine leaf collectable necklace and large brooch set, tree / birthday series, pale gold tone with hand-painted enamel

Highly collectable vintage vine leaf necklace and large brooch set made by the Exquisite company in Birmingham / Solihull, England. They produced a range of designs based on flowers and plants. This example was not part of the flower birthday series as such, but a separate collection of different trees and plants, showing their leaves.

They also produced matching brooches (large and small), clip-on earrings and bracelets, so the full set can be collected.

The pieces have hand-painted enamel on very light gold tone. The brooch is signed Exquisite on the reverse. The necklaces were unsigned but this has the Exquisite 'bow' design hang tag and was certainly made by the company.

The necklace has an adjustable length up to a maximum of about 18 inches using the simple hook clasp and extension chain. The brooch has a length of 2.5 inches and a width of 2 1/4 inches.

The pieces are in good vintage condition - there is wear and some signs of age so I have tried to upload the maximum number of pictures with close-ups to give a good idea. The back of the necklace panels has some discolouration of the gold tone.
