Vintage Exquisite primrose and violet wreath brooch - very rare design, gold tone and cold-painted enamel in purple, yellow and green

Vintage yellow primrose, violet and leaf wreath brooch with hand-painted cold enamel on gold tone. The design and workmanship is plainly from the Exquisite jewellery company that was based in Solihull. I have never seen this design before and these wreath design brooches seem to be incredibly rare. The primrose and violet flowers were used to represent February and March respectively.

The brooch has a diameter of about 2 inches and fastens with a roll-over safety clasp and pin. It is in good vintage condition - the paint work is still in lovely condition. There is a slight unevenness to the circular shape of the brooch which is actually very difficult to see.

The Exquisite maker also produced a wide range of flower design pieces - whole sets of clip on earrings, brooches in two sizes, bracelets and necklaces - with different hand-painted flowers for each birthday month (see below for list of months and flowers).
