Vintage early Miriam Haskell ruby red poured glass beaded Egyptian revival fringe necklace with gold tone book chain - in box
Vintage poured glass red bead necklace with gold tone book chain choker. This piece came from the same owner as many other pieces I now have in stock, from a large collection, and a number of them are believed to be early pieces from Miriam Haskell - probably early (1920s to 1940s) therefore unsigned - or having had the signature gold tone oval hand tag removed for wearing.
The detail of the intricate workmanship, particularly the fringe design with a book chain collar and French poured glass beads are typical of Miriam Haskell pieces while designers such as Frank Hess were working for her. She liked to used these colours - bright red and gold - in her early pieces and this is a quality piece with beautiful beads that are in very good condition.
A beautiful and extremely collectable necklace in stunning colours that is in good vintage condition. It is offered in a beautiful antique hinged jewellery box with velvet and blue satin lining.
