Fabulous vintage and highly collectable Askew London necklace and earrings set. All of Askew's pieces are unique - Sue Askew lives in London and cleverly incorporates original vintage and antique jewellery components to make her elaborate pieces. She finishes her pieces with 24 carat gold plate and uses top quality semi-precious stones and art glass pieces in her work. She began designing and producing in 1979 I believe so this piece could actually originate from that time up to the present day.

This set has a stunning statement necklace in gold plate, with cupid / cherub motifs, clear rhinestones, roses and rhinestone embellished hearts. The necklace is adjustable up to 18 inches in length and fastens with a pretty, rhinestone embellished hook clasp. The earrings are 2.5 inches long and are for pierced ears with butterfly backs. The set is in excellent vintage condition. As this set does not have a signature plate, it may be that it is an earlier piece bought from the original boutique - though there is a spare jump ring near the clasp which may one have held a signed tag.
