Antique Carnelian large bead necklace - from Tibet, Nepal or China, much like the older pema rakka prayer beads

Lovely antique carnelian / cornelian gemstone beads in an old necklace, I believe from Tibet, Nepal or China. 

Having done some research into the really ancient pema/pemma rakka carnelian beads, I can see that these beads are not the same in shape or colour. So I am not claiming that this is an example of pema rakka. However it is certainly carnelian and and quite old. It is lovely that the original stringing and the original gold thread wrapped sections are still present and largely intact, albeit worn with some threads missing and broken. Please look carefully at all the close-up pictures and message me if you would like further photos taken.

The necklace is in good antique condition considering its age but do check pictures carefully. It has a length of about 18 inches and fastens with a loop and ball clasp made out of the gold thread wrapped cord.
