Vintage Bakelite (simichrome tested) faux tortoiseshell and sterling silver 1920s to 1930s statement bib necklace, lovely phenolic

Fabulous vintage statement bib necklace with enormous panels of beautifully shaped faux tortoiseshell bakelite. The bakelite pieces are set in sterling silver with decorative 'rope' style connecting pieces in silver. There are sections of double silver snake chain on either side of the neck and then some sections of large link silver chains and a secure spring ring clasp stamped 'sterling'.

The pictures show the beautiful colouring of the bakelite pieces. There is a photo of the simichrome test, which had a very clear yellow residue. The necklace has an adjustable length using the spring ring clasp and extension chain, but its longest length is just 16 inches. Please let me know if you need a complementary extra length of extension chain fitting before the necklace is sent. It is in very good vintage condition.
