The material gives a strong positive result for Bakelite when tested using simichrome paste, as pictured. The stunning curved panels show a wonderful geometric, streamlined style from the 1930s Art Deco period. The bangle feels beautiful when worn - high quality and smooth. It is beautifully engineered, with each curved piece cleverly attached. It is hinged so opens up to fit onto the wrist, then holds securely in place. The bangle is in very good vintage condition.
