Vintage Attwood and Sawyer, signed A&S, 22ct gold plated and clear rhinestone large statement clip on earrings

Gorgeous vintage 22ct gold plated Attwood and Sawyer (A & S) rhinestone encrusted clip on earrings. Lovely design with fabulous thick gold plate, embellished with numerous clear rhinestones, including a row of baguette cut (rectangular) stones and a large pear / teardrop cut stone on each. There is the A&S stamp on the reverse of each earring. This is a really unusual and opulent design.

Founded in England in 1956 by Horace Attwood (Sawyer was a silent partner), Attwood & Sawyer produced copies of 18th- and 19th-century precious jewellery, many pieces for the Dallas and Dynasty TV series, and glittering diamante compositions for the Miss World competitions.

The quality of their pieces is always outstanding, with thick, smooth plating and quality design. These earrings are in very good vintage condition.
