Vintage Attwood and Sawyer ( A&S ) signed antique style, ornate 22ct gold plated necklace, encrusted with clear rhinestones and cut-out design

Wonderful vintage necklace consisting of rhinestone embellished 22ct gold plated panels in an elaborate pierced metal design. The necklace is encrusted with clear crystal rhinestones throughout. The necklace is signed by the quality maker Attwood and Sawyer (stamped A&S on the back of the clasp). The initial stamp looks like an older version - this is probably an earlier piece. The necklace is in very good vintage condition.

Founded in England in 1956 by Horace Attwood (Sawyer was a silent partner), Attwood & Sawyer produced copies of 18th- and 19th-century precious jewellery, many pieces for the Dallas and Dynasty TV series, and glittering diamante compositions for the Miss World competitions.
