Vintage Askew London cherub necklace and earrings set / demi-parure, gold tone, rhinestone, excellent condition

Fabulous vintage and highly collectable Askew London necklace and earrings set. All of Askew's pieces are unique - Sue Askew lives in London and cleverly incorporates original vintage and antique jewellery components to make her elaborate pieces. She finishes her pieces with 24 carat gold plate and uses top quality semi-precious stones and art glass pieces in her work. She began designing and producing in 1979 I believe so this piece could actually originate from that time up to the present day.

This set has a stunning statement necklace in gold plate, with cupid / cherub motifs, clear rhinestones, flowers and stars with glass pearl cabochons and drops. 

The necklace is 17.5 inches long and fastens with a pretty, circular, rhinestone embellished box clasp. The earrings are 2.5 inches long and are for pierced ears and have butterfly backs. The necklace is signed Askew London on the reverse, but the earrings are unsigned but accompany the necklace.

The set is in very good vintage condition.
