Vintage Art Deco style amethyst purple, pink and violet glass riviere necklace, with bezel set, open backed crystals & rhinestone panels

Pretty Art Deco style necklace with bezel set pale amethyst purple / violet crystals set in antique gold / brass tone, with open backs allowing the light to stream through and pick up the gorgeous colours of the crystal. The violet open backed sections are separated by rhinestone embellished feature panels, including one central pendant at the front. These panels have Czech filigree backs.

I have listed this as Art Deco style as it must have been created later at least from the mid-1950s onwards. This is because some of the pink rhinestones have an aurora borealis sheen, which was not really seen (I believe) until the mid fifties. 

The necklace is about 16 inches long and fastens with a secure spring ring clasp. It is in very good vintage condition - a very unusual piece in having the sparkly rhinestone panels.
