Gorgeous vintage Art Deco cocktail bracelet set in silver tone with geometric tank track design and channel set rhinestones. This example is really unusual, as the six layers of links have been cleverly engineered so that the bracelet is expandable, a little like an antique watch band. The final picture shows the drawings from a Schreiber and Hiller patent application.
Made by Schreiber and Hiller in Germany, these pieces are beautifully and intricately engineered. The snake-like links follow the curves of the wrist and feel comfortable to wear. This piece is identical in construction to another four layer example I have listed which is signed 'Simex' and 'Esha' with the letters DBP which was a trademark used by the Schreiber & Hiller company from 1953 (alicelily.co.uk/products/vintage-art-deco-drgm-channel-set-paste-machine-age-stretch-cocktail-bracelet-signed-simex-a-schreiber-hiller-trademark). The trademark publication states that the mark is for Schmuckwaren, insbesondere Schmuckarmbänder (jewellery, especially jewellery bracelets).
This larger, six layer bracelet is in very good vintage condition, with good chrome / silver tone surfaces and bright rhinestones.
A piece like this is specifically mentioned in the very useful website on the subject here:
