Vintage Art Deco rhinestone duette, brooch that is convertible into two dress clips, metamorphic jewellery, Ciro Pearls, made by Trifari

Beautiful vintage Art Deco paste duette in silver tone with lovely romantic floral design. This is a cleverly constructed piece in which two identical dress clips fit onto a brooch frame. It can be dismantled so that you have two dress pins that can be worn on clothing, shoes, bags etc. 

This is a particularly nice example - the two sides are identical. This piece is signed 'CP' for Ciro Pearls - a UK company that had pieces made for them by the Trifari company. So I can see this piece uses the patented Trifari 'Clipmate' mechanism where the clips slide onto a rectangular bar with smooth channels. The last picture shows the patent application from April 1936.

The brooch has a length of about 2 3/4 inches and a width of about 1 1/4 inches. It is in very good vintage condition, with all stones present and a secure roll-over clasp and pin. Please examine photos carefully for a full condition report.
