Vintage Art Deco Neiger Egyptian revival scarab glass bead necklace, vibrant bright yellow Czech beads and black spacer beads

Beautiful vintage moulded bright yellow glass Max and Norbert Neiger beaded necklace with beads from the Art Deco era. 

These classic Max Neiger scarab beetle glass beads were produced in long flapper length strings in the 1920s, following the discovery of Tutenkhamun's tomb and the popularity of all things Ancient Egyptian. These beads are a gorgeous and unusual bright yellow colour, but will have been restrung at some point to make this shorter necklace. The small black glass beads may not be as old as the yellow Art Deco beads.

The necklace has a length of about 17 inches, fastens with a secure screw clasp and is in very good vintage condition.
