Vintage Art Deco moulded brass scottie terrier dog brooch with pretty bow motif

Fabulous Art Deco 1930s to 1940s moulded brass brooch. The design features a  gorgeous Scottish terrier 'scottie' dog dangling from an ornate repousse style bow. The metal has been pressed to form the texture so the back of the brooch is concave. It fastens with a simple hook clasp and pin.

These scottie dogs and other terrier breeds were an incredibly popular motif during the Art Deco period and onwards.

The brooch has a length of about 1 3/4 inches and a width of 1.5 inches. It is in good vintage condition with some rubbing and wear commensurate with age.
