Vintage Art Deco French jet moulded glass beaded necklace, Neiger style pressed black glass czech beads

Beautiful vintage moulded black glass French jet beaded necklace from the Art Deco era. Black glass (also known as French jet) jewellery was initially inspired by pieces of mourning jewellery, made popular during the Victorian period as it was Queen Victoria's only jewellery following the death of her beloved husband. This necklace has beautiful geometric, moulded glass oval beads, with antique gold tone bead caps and faceted French jet spacer beads. The large beads are like the moulded glass beads produced by the Neiger Brothers in the 1930s and I do think the beads are likely to be Czech. The necklace has a length of about 16 inches, fastens with a secure spring ring clasp and is in very good vintage condition.
