Fabulous vintage Art Deco silver tone and turquoise / aqua blue glass negligee necklace. This is such a delicate and detailed piece with pretty glass beads in long and sphere shapes as well as panels with faceted rectangular glass pieces and glass cabochons. The two front panels have a very pretty stamped pattern on the back and they conceal the hook clasp - this piece fastens at the front. Suspended from this central panel are two delicate chains ending in double beads separated by a chrome disc, which match the beads on the necklace. They hang asymmetrically at two slightly different lengths in a 'negligee' necklace design.

This piece is certainly a Czech piece, produced in the 1920s or 1930s, most likely in Gablonz and it could well be a Neiger piece. It is in very good vintage condition - a tiny imperfection in the corner of one of the rectangular stones, front right. May be a tiny hairline crack, but barely visible. The last picture shows a pair of turquoise / aqua glass cabochon screw back earrings in the same colour glass which I will include with the order as a free gift! They are set in a brassy antique gold tone, rather than silver tone so are not an exact match, but this blue is quite hard to match, so they are a nice addition.

A plea: Please don’t message me aggressively outlining the ways in which your opinions on Neiger pieces differ from mine or those of other varied “experts”. Ideally, don’t message me at all unless you’d like more information on the item or to exchange ideas in a pleasant fashion. The fact is that the Neiger brothers were cruelly murdered by the Nazis like so many other innocent people. All records have been lost and ‘research’ into the history is incredibly sparse and lacking in evidence, so all opinions on what was and wasn’t produced by them are just that - opinions. And as we know - everybody’s got them!
