Vintage Art Deco Czech Max Neiger Brothers style lapis lazuli glass and gold tone negligee necklace, front fastening
Fabulous vintage Art Deco gold / brass tone and rich lapis lazuli blue glass negligee necklace. This is such a delicate and detailed piece with pretty glass beads in long and spherical shapes as well as panels with graduated semicircular pieces. These two panels have a very pretty stamped pattern on the back and they conceal the hook clasp - this piece fastens at the front. Suspended from this central panel are two delicate chains ending in lapis lazuli glass spherical beads in with pretty bead caps and hang asymmetrically at two slightly different lengths in a 'negligee' necklace design.
This piece is certainly a Czech piece, produced in the 1920s or 1930s, most likely in Gablonz. It was made by a maker like Max and Norbert Neiger, but it is not possible to determine if it is a Neiger piece, some will say definitely not, others less certain. Views will be very strong as always (see below)! It has a very snug choker length of 15 inches (please check measurements carefully) and is in very good vintage condition.
