Large and dramatic vintage storyteller cuff bracelet with South American (I think Peruvian / Incan) images. The panel to the far left on the pictures is what makes me think it depicts Incan gods - this image looks to me like Viracocha (also Wiraqocha, Huiracocha; Quechua Wiraqucha): the creator and supreme deity in the pre-Inca and Inca mythology in the Andes region of South America.

The style of the pictures resembles Peruvian silver bracelets, however this one could have been made elsewhere as a story from Peru, eg Mexico, as Peruvian silver is often a lower grade than sterling.

Bracelets like this are often called storytelling or storyteller bracelets because they depict an entire legend or tale almost the way a comic strip would.

There are stamps on the reverse side just next to the push-in clasp at one end. There is a 925 stamp to confirm it is solid sterling silver. Then there is a serial number stamped twice - I believe it says R130596 (or perhaps the 6 could be a G). This is a large piece of sterling silver and weighs 48 grams overall.

The length of the bracelet is a fairly slim fitting 7 inches when laid flat, but the curves in each panel will give it a smidge more length. It is a chunky piece with panel widths of 1 1/4 inches. It fastens with a lovely hidden push-in box clasp which works well and is secure.

It is in very good vintage condition - very little wear to the surfaces, this bracelet has obviously been treasured and kept carefully. It is sold in a hinged maroon presentation box, as pictured.
