Unusual vintage 'Bacchus' face brooch with silver tone mounted on gold tone ribbon motif, French machine age construction, trombone clasp

Extremely unusual and striking vintage 'Bacchus' face brooch, with the silver tone face casting mounted on a gold tone / gold plated beautiful ribbon design brooch base.

The brooch fastens with a pin and secure trombone clasp, so it is fairly likely to have been made in France.

The length of the piece is a touch over 1.5 inches wide and again just over 2 inches in length. It is in very good vintage condition.
