Large vintage rootbeer Bakelite (verified) and gold tone Art Deco machine age geometric brooch, classic 1930s design

Chunky vintage Art Deco 1930s machine age geometric brooch with antique gold tone, possibly pinchbeck, and a large flattened ring of rootbeer Bakelite in a lovely honey orange / brown. The plastic tests positive for Bakelite using simichrome paste.

This stunning piece shows a wonderful geometric, streamlined style from the 1930s Art Deco period. The piece feels lovely when handled - high quality and smooth. The brooch is just over 3 inches long by 1.5 inches wide.

Please have a really good look at all the photos, zooming in to see all the signs of ageing and the wear that there is to the gold tone. You can see that the gold tone has wear and tiny scratches which are only apparent in close-up.
