Large vintage Neiger style Art Deco amethyst purple glass rhinestone Czech brooch in antique gold tone filigree, floral design

Vintage Art Deco amethyst purple and lilac rhinestone gold tone filigree brooch. This piece certainly has Czech origins, and I have seen similar designs attributed to Max and Norbert Neiger, however my view is that it is not a Neiger piece. The quality of the design and settings is lovely and the overall shape and size make this a striking statement piece.

It is beautifully designed and produced. The antique gold tone filigree base is embellished with chaton cut pale purple and lilac rhinestones, and a large oval rhinestone in the centre. Its longer dimension across is 2 1/4 inches, with the shorter dimension across at 1 3/4 inches. It fastens with a simple C clasp and pin.

This is a lovely piece of collectable jewellery in very good vintage condition. It has some numbers stamped on a little plaque on the back - I am not sure if they are 166, 991 or just 66 or 99.
