Large early Askew London, vintage cupid brooch in antique silver tone with marquise cut clear rhinestones, cherub / putti & love bird design

Vintage cupid cherub putti and lovebird design ornate brooch in antique silver tone with clear rhinestone accents. The design is gorgeous and whimsical with a large cupid / cherub in the centre and a pair of love birds or doves above, in an attractive diamond shaped frame.

This brooch is unsigned but I believe it is an early piece by Askew of London - I love this style which seems to me very much influenced by Joseff of Hollywood. Early pieces sold in the Askew London boutique off Oxford Street in London were not signed.

The brooch measures about 4 inches by 2 1/4 inches and fastens with a pin and secure roll-over clasp. It is in very good vintage condition.
