Large antique Victorian Scottish carnelian agate and gold tone circular ring brooch pin, beautiful orange stone

Antique Victorian Scottish agate brooch, with a lovely carnelian / cornelian agate piece set in unmarked yellow metal gold tone. The agate piece has really nice natural inclusions and striations.

The gold tone components, including the pin and simple C-clasp, have not been tested but are likely to be gold plate, rolled gold or even pinchbeck. They have beautiful repousse or engraved patterns in the front surface.

This brooch measures about 2 1/4 inches in diameter and is in very good vintage condition.
