Large antique Georgian riveted cut steel faceted brooch

Antique cut steel brooch with lovely faceted polished steel stones - a very old piece (probably early 1800s Georgian to early Victorian) still in very good vintage condition.

This a large pin brooch with a diameter of 2 inches. The cut steel rhinestone shaped pieces with polished facets have been intricately riveted to a gold tone setting, and the brooch fastens with a secure pin and old 'C' hook clasp.

Amazingly all the cut steel is intact and there is only a small amount of age-related discolouration as pictured. This is not visible at all without the close-up magnification of the camera.
