Huge vintage early Miriam Haskell floral crimped paper or canvas and glass bead oval brooch

Beautiful very early vintage / antique Miriam Haskell  brooch from the late 1920s or early 1930s. This is such an unusual example in which the brooch surface is packed with creased, crimped paper or canvas flowers, each centred with a faux pearl above two white milk glass beads on a stem or stamen.

The decoration is mounted on one of Haskell's classic and early pierced metal mounts with circular holes, regularly spaced. The brooch is massive with a length of nearly 3.5 inches and a width of 2.5 inches, and fasten with a pin and simple C hook clasp.

The brooch is in good vintage condition - there is, I think, some dust inside some of the paper / cavas crimped flowers that I haven't been able to clean out using only gentle cleaning. I wouldn't advise anything more vigorous given the age and rarity of this piece. I think there has been some touching up on the faux pearls with some enamel, but I can't confirm this. It's incredible to me that it has survived in such good order.
