Early Askew London celestial cherub long dangle statement earrings for pierced ears, gold tone, clear rhinestones and faux pearls

Fabulous vintage and highly collectable Askew London statement earrings in gold tone with clear rhinestone and faux pearl accents. It has a gorgeous celestial angel / cherub design with stars, bows, hearts and decorative drops - absolutely stunning. 

All of Askew's pieces are unique - Sue Askew lives in London and cleverly incorporates original vintage and antique jewellery components to make her elaborate pieces. She finishes her pieces with top quality semi-precious stones and art glass pieces. She began designing and producing in 1979 I believe, so this piece could actually originate from that time up to the present day.

These earrings are not signed as is often the case with earlier pieces or pieces that were part of a set in which other pieces were signed. They are in very good vintage condition - I have replaced some mismatched butterfly backs with new gold tone butterflies.
