Beautiful vintage poured glass and rolled gold fringe necklace, jewels of India style

Vintage poured glass faux gemstone cabochon fringe necklace with the most beautiful quality rolled gold metal work. The detail of the intricate workmanship, particularly the fringe design and the vibrant colours of the glass stones are really stunning.

I was surprised not to find any stamps or signatures. German makers like Kordes & Lichtenfels (K&L) or Andreas Daub often produced collar style, rolled gold necklaces with this type of clasp and dangle, but this piece is not signed. I am guessing it was made at some point in the mid 20th century, but pieces in this style were made from the 1930s Art Deco period (it is a lot like Miriam Haskell necklaces in style) through to the 1960s and 70s. 

The necklace has an adjustable length around the neck between about 15 and 18 inches. It fastens with a secure spring ring clasp and 3-inch length of extension chain.

This is a beautiful and extremely collectable necklace in stunning colours that is in very good vintage condition. It is offered in a large hinged presentation box with a pale olive green outer surface.
